Like Perlin's Simplex Noise but don't like the patent that comes with it? Introducing OpenSimplex Noise!

I never liked simplex noise.  It was ok for 2D noise, but the underlying grid didn't scale well to 3D noise, where the gradient contribution on a given point had to have very large falloffs as to not extend past the boundaries.  4D noise was right out of the question.


That said, nice work.  I was not aware of the simplectic honeycomb, clever use ;)
