Hello all, This is my 1st post, so, yeah.. I am pretty new to GameDev. I already have W2k with Visual Studio v6. I want to make some game stuff, and am just questioning which API(s) to use. Should I walk down the path of DirectX, or OpenGL with SDL ? Thus far I have been playing with OpenGL, and am downloading DirectX v8.0a SDK. More than likely I wanted to familiarize myself with both API''s, as in which one has the greatest support, which one achieves the intended results and which one is easier to get the results in. Obviously there are compromises any which way you look at it, and I am just trying to get the best solution. Any pointers, would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, John Zantey
