If you mean, "how do I install a component", here''s how:

1) Start up Delphi
2) Go to File->Close All menu
3) Select Component->Install Component menu
4) Click the first "browse" button and select your .pas or .dcu
5) Click on OK. You''ll be asked if you want to rebuild the library. Say yes
6) If all goes well, it should say your component has been registered. You can find it on the component palette. If not, try pressing the "Install" button on the package inspector. If you''ve still not managed, fix any errors in the source code (if possible) and try again.

If the component you''ve downloaded has a package (I think with .dpk extension) then you can just double click it and select "Install".

Btw, I might be wrong here, but don''t some versions of Delphi come with a pre-installed spell checking component? Look in the Samples and ActiveX component palette pages.

Um... you''re not trying to spell check your actual source code are you? Because that''s kinda what is sounds like from the various posts I''ve read pertining to this topic. A component will only allow you to add a spell checker to the actual application you''re building.

Aren''t there some sort of methods you need to call in order initiate a spell check on a particular string of text? I''ve never used the component myself, but just dropping it on you form isn''t enough. Do you have some code you could show us? Mayeb we could figure out where the problem is occuring.
