send it anyway if you want ...
There is a GLAUX.DLL file, it's just not released in the newer drivers.

Just stick "GLAUX.DLL" in Google : I found this in 30 seconds :

It's at the bottom.
Put it in your system or in your project's directory.

Well, I guess I stand corrected . From now on I''ll say "there is no glaux.dll for the glaux.lib supplied with MSVC."

is this a compiler specific problem then? why not use the .lib during linkage?

beats me!

i can understand delphi requiring a .dll version for obvious reasons ... but not c/c++
Needing a DLL doesn''t depend on the compiler or language, it depends on the type of library linked (static or dynamic). Evidentally he has a dynamic library. MSVC comes with a static library as a default (and since most people use MSVC, I always assume people are using it when I answer questions until I find out what compiler that have).

i stand corrected!

I assumed that dev C gave the choice - whereas I believe that Delphi only uses .dll files - although i could be wrong!
i love you marine

thx guys for the help

it now works!!!!
