Windows-Button in a OpenGL-Scene
Hello,
I have the following question: How can i draw a Windows-Button or an another Windows-Control in my OpenGL-Application? I will have a 2D-Scene and I would place there a Button to do any actions in the Scene. Does anybody know how can I achieve this?
Thanks

not windows buttons to my knowledge you''d better to use a quad texture and a picking function to track the mouse click over
an opengl textured quad , this is what i would do if i was you.

Ofcourse you can. I don''t know how, but it''s definitely possible, look at all those OpenGL apps out there, 3DSMax, Maya, etc...
In the case of 3DSMax and Maya what they do is create a main window where all the buttons and regular windows GDI stuff goes, then create a sub window (usually 4 sub windows for x, y, z, and perspective) which has the opengl rendering context. You can''t have any GDI stuff in the actual opengl window, unless you''re using single buffer instead of double.
