So I''m attempting to get a particle emitter working in my landscape program. I copied most of the code from Particles.c in the particles demo, but I get nothing. I tried increasing the scale in case it was just too small to see, but still nothing. I read in an older post that the particles only work with the software renderer. Is this still true? And if so, what do I have to do to use it? I tried adding PR_SetD3DPipeline(0) before the call to PR_UpdateEmitters and PR_UpdateParticles, but still nothing. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
