Well I asked this before but here is it again with some new info of the problem. I have created D3D program using Delphi 5. Program renders tiles in 3D with smooth scolling. It''s a tech test demo of the isometric engine I''m working on. Well it runs fine on my machine: P3 450 450mg ram GeForce 2 MX 400 Delphi 5 DirectX 8.0a I have gotten reports from users that they get Access violation errors when running the problem. "access violation at 000000" The funny thing is that it happens at 000000 & 0000000. They also report that it happens with some of the Delphi converted D3D examples. this makes me think that it is not my app that causes the problem but it''s something related to D3D8. I''m using the latest Directx 8 header files. What do you think? You can download the program from my site. http://bnet.webprovider.com eXPerience->download XP Iso3D tech demo series 2 It would be nice if you could try it and report(email or answer here) if it works on your machine. This thing is causing me problems due to fact that I cannot make the problem happen on my home computer. Pekka Heikura pekka@heikura.com http://bnet.webprovider.com

Well I researched it a bit and found out that the problem is related to header files. They had added support for DX 8.1. The new headers are compatible with DX8 but you have to specify when creating th device for what version of DX you are creating it for.
Well I will test it when I get home...

Any feedback is still welcome...
