I''ve recently brought the Tricks of the windows game programming gurus but was totally confused with the Windows programming portion. Probably this is my first encounter with WIN32.... and having difficulties moving on. Thus I''m asking for advice from the experts. I have previously brought the WGPFD and encountered the same problem. I knew C and C++. I welcome all advice.

Is WIN9X, WIN2000 and WINXP using the same API?
WIN9X and NT using WIN32 API....
But how about WIN2000 and WINXP?
