corona sdk collision

For my game, I have a onCollision callback property and a precedence property. When a collision is detected, both objects' onCollision properties are fired, with the object having the highest precedence firing first. This is handy in case you need to enforce some game rules. The callback itself is simple enough: Just a reference to the other object:
 
onBeginContact = (a, b) ->
    b, a = a, b  if (a.collision_precedence or 0) < (b.collision_precedence or 0)

    a.onCollision b  if a.onCollision
    b.onCollision a  if b.onCollision
