Hey, Anyone here do freelance/contract programming work? I''m in university and can''t get a fulltime job with a company and I want to make some money using my programming skills but I''m clueless as to getting clients. How do I find companies that need programming work done? Should I just start calling every business I can find and ask them if they need programming work done? How do software companies do it? Any ideas/suggestions? Are there any articles that give advice? Do any of you have your own software companies? If so hows it working out? Do you have a website I can check out? People bid too low on the projects at rentacoder.com, its not worth my time to spend hours creating a program for only $50-$100... especially when the buyer can turn around and sell it for 10x what they paid for it...
