Double Precision of Vertices?

Does Direct3D have an double precision vertex buffer? I want to render a mesh which is double precision. How to do?

And why would you need to? - I don''t see any valid reason on consumer level hardware.

If you''re trying to do something like a space game, look at partitioning your world (and depth buffer).
