Me and a friend of mine want to make a 3d survival game, I have a little bit of experience in Java and he has experience in Javascript. Just a link to a 3d Game dev tutorial on youtube would be nice.

I would learn first a real programming language C# / C++ for that, I'm working with unity3d and I use C# but it is possible to use Javascript too.

Unity3d Learn has alot of Tutorial for your first time.

I am not a fan of Java either (and I think that C# is not much better), but facts are that one of the most successful survival games - Minecraft - was made in Java. So I wouldn't be so condfident in saying that Java is not good for it.
