Could somebody recommend a GUI library built on top of SDL 2?
In need the following:

  • Must be open source, including all dependencies.
  • Lightweight, with few or no dependencies.
  • Support basic gui widgets including table layouts, buttons, labels, and scrollable widgets.
  • Need to be able to add custom widgets.
  • Built on top of SDL 2. Might be able to use SDL 1 or OpenGL too.
  • Must not rely on dynamically linked libraries. I need to compile and statically link all dependencies.
  • C or C++

Yes I ran into that too. I tried it.

It's a small set of widgets written to make music controls. It's not very good, but I guess it was good enough for what the writer needed it for. But it doesn't have much to it. It might beat writing something myself from scratch, but I was hoping for something that wouldn't require me to create a custom widget to display an image from a file. It also has some questionable design choices.

I was hoping for something better.
