However: You can just go buy the latest "RPG Maker" tool, and design your own RPG pretty easily, writing dialog and creating areas to your heart's content.

There's plenty of free music, free art, and free tutorials you can use to create your game, and supplement it with some original music and art as necessary.

[Edit:] Actually, it looks like I still have the key from the bundle. Google RPG Maker VX Ace, see if it suits your desires. If it looks like what you want, I'll gift you the RPG Maker VX Ace tool.

SOTL,

I can't figure out how to use the RPG Maker VX Ace Tool you sent me the link for. Am I missing something?

  1. You've already redeemed the Humble Bundle gift link I sent you, when you typed in your email address.
  2. Humble Bundle then emailed you a new link you can use to download the program.
  3. Once you've downloaded and installed the program, you can then run the program.
  4. Once the program is running, if you need help, ask the RPG Maker VX Ace community (and first googling), where people who use the tool and are experienced with it can give you advice and tips.

It just occurred to me that the RPG Maker is Windows only? Right now, I only have a mac.

IIRC game maker and rpg maker aren't complicated programs and might run under for example boot camp or parallels on mac. Have you tried this?

Apparently the latest RPG Maker MV that @Mekamani mentioned is natively Mac. I don't have a free key for that, though. smile.png

No worries. The RPG Maker MV looks like a really good program. I think I'm going to spend the $79.99 and pick it up!
