best way for me to explain is to go buy the book: "OpenGL Game Programming" its great. takes you from not knowing any windows or graphics api to complete 3d game! I loved the book and had alot of fun reading it. Also i would look into the red book were you can find that online at nehe.gamedev.net! Hope that helped and have fun!!!!
