Hi,

I have an issue with how dxt5 textures render alpha.

I have a source png with alpha gradients which is converted to dds with NVidia tools. Then is loaded in engine correctly but shows alpha pixels like opaque ones.

The engine I use is cocos2d-x with a custom D3D11 render implementation. Actually the issue happens in both OpenGL and D3D renders. Also I have to say that dds file shows correctly in NVidia dds viewer, with alpha gradients.

It seems like blending is set in additive when sprite with dds renders cause alpha values are not taken in account.

Tell me If you need more information, screenshots or whatever.

Thanks.

It's already resolved.

Actually It was a silly thing. I used non-premultiplied dds textures with premultiplied blend state so no proper blending happen there. I just premultiplied my textures and now works like a charm, It draws alpha gradients correctly.

Thanks for your interest.
