Hi All,

We are looking to develop an online math game that plays like classic NBA Jam or NBA Hangtime. We were told that buying a pre-coded kit for much of the basic program structure would be the quickest way to get it up and running. ($300-$1,000 seemed to be the estimate of how much the kit would cost) Is there a website to find a already made kit like this or should we put in a classified through GameDev to recruit a programmer/designer to make the kit for us. We have the funds to purchase a kit rather than start coding from scratch. Once we would have the kit, we would have to change some features and add certain aspects to the math connection within the basketball game. (We would hire a programmer to make those alternations at that point) Thanks and we look forward to your advice!

Sincerely,

@Josh Petrie

Thank you so much for the insight. We do not have programmers and we have a few classifieds up in the hobbyist section. We do not have enough funds to pay programmers a salary but we could work out a contract idea/compensation when game is released. If pay comes after release (which is hard to get programmers to buy into), could we post in the contract section as an unpaid position, or should we keep to the hobbyist section? Thanks again for the advice!
