Hey,
So I've made a basic character (He's not intended to be any specific thing. He's just a guy. I'm probably gonna change up color schemes for other players) and given him a walk cycle. I'm looking to improve on it. I'd appreciate any help biggrin.png

If you can't zoom in without blurring it, try this link. You can scale up images just by clicking on them.

Any specific thing that doesn't seem right with it? What kind of improvement are you looking for?

Besides some very slight "lag" at the end of the walk cycle, looks fine to me... seems like there is either one frame missing, or one shown too long, IDK.

The width of the character in proportion to the size of the legs makes his walk cycle look non-human, but it doesn't look bad. It almost gives me the sense that he moves by rotating his legs a full 360 out of phase with eachother, rather than swing them back and forth.

I think you just copied that reference sequence from your other thread, even the frame number is the same:

Reproducing or analysing someone else's work can teach you some things (speaking from personal experience), but if you want your character to do anything other than that then you'll have to study more, like with that e-book that I posted.

Yup. I'm trying to get a basic framework of a walk-cycle ready. I'd rather use this in a prototype game than a regular square tongue.png

Thanks for reminding me of the e-book. I'll read that this weekend.

Crossbones.....

Thanks for the site.Seems a bit like something not many people use though. I'll look around and see if I like it :)

Why'd you cross all your text out and put "Crossbones....." at the bottom?
