Kha is a portable multimedia framework built on top of the programming language Haxe. Think SDL, SFML, Lime, etc, but supercharged by a robust backend system. With Kha you can make input, graphics and audio calls through a streamlined API without worrying about platform specific knowhow.

It was time Kha got a new “fresh and hip” website like every other toolkit and framework has these days. So without further ado the website is located at:

If you’re new to Haxe or just Kha don’t hesitate to ask questions! I’ll gladly answer them and help you on your way. For those who have tried Kha in the past but for some reason moved to something else: Kha has been heavily upgraded, so come check out what is new!

As a bonus Kha recently got a dedicated IDE called Kode Studio. It’s forked from VSCode, it’s already functional and allows you to debug your application/game!

We also have an IRC channel : irc://ktxsoftware.com/#kha

Currently there are only a handful but it’s definitely active!

Kha also has its own subreddit at /r/kha . If you make something with Kha please do not hesitate to share it.

Happy programming!
