Texturing problem(READ PLEASE!)

I have an OpenGL program. I am using Dev-C++ 4.01 on Windows 98. I got the NeHe tutorials for texture mapping, but when my program runs, I don''t see the texture. What is wrong? Gaming or not gaming? that is the question.

What do you use to load your texture (glaux, special function)???
