Hey, I''m considering getting a PDA in the future, not sure which one-whether palm or not. I have heard about pocket versions of Word, Outlook, Excel and stuff like that. I''m wondering if there is a pocket version of VC++ or somthing like that. I know you wouldn''t be able to compile a workspace on a pda! but are there any c++ editors for any handheld PDAs? Thanks

Microsoft has a product called eMbedded Visual Tools, which is used for developing software on handheld devices. It is available as a free download, or on CD. It is for use on a PC; you write and compile on your computer, and then transfer to the PDA. http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/downloads/emvt30.asp

I don''t know about development software that runs on the PDA itself, though.

I develop games for the Palm using Pocket C ( http://www.orbworks.com ). It works great and is easy to use. You can also check out my games at http://waltsgames.iwarp.com

alright what I meant was is there a c++ editor that runs on a PDA like pocket excel. are there any programs that let me edit c++ code using a PDA. Sorta like using pocket word to edit a word file on a PDA. Mabey something that colors the code and makes it easy to read the way VC++ does.
