what dx8 book is a good book?

whats the best directx 8 book to get? i want 1 that covers pretty much all of directx if possible, but i''d prefer a book that just covers inputs and graphics really well than get 1 that vague and has info on all....

Unfortunately there are no books in that profile. The Zen of Direct3D is a great book that covers 3D programming at a beginner-intermediate level but it has no input. Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus is a great good for all of DirectX but it has no 3D. Solution? Get both. I have both and they are great. TOWGPG(abbrv) covers so much info it will make your head spin. ZOD3DP makes 3D look like Algebra I(assuming its easy for you).
