Locking a folder

I know this is in the wrong place, but I''m wonder if I can lock a certain folder on my computer. That is, it would take a password to open centain folder in my hard drive.

On NTFS, you can encrypt individual files and folders such that only the user who encrypted them can decrypt and read them. Not exactly what you want, but it might be close enough.

NTFS also allows you to set the security such that only certain users/groups can access a directory (folder).
