Xaudio2 init fails if the speakers are unplugged?

Xaudio2 init fails if the speakers are unplugged?

 

just noticed this the other day. haven't check the code yet to determine the exact call.

 

so if init audio fails, i need to set a flag like audio_system_enabled=0,

 

and when i go to play something, if !audio_system_enabled, return.

 

right?

 

i'd like the game to still run with no audio available. audio isn't required to play. its nice - but not necessary.
