Terrain elevation

Hi! I''m developing an isometric engine but I''ve have a problem with the elevation of the terrain... I''ve seen how Age of Empires 2 resolves the problem (7 different levels of elevation) but I can''t imagine how to do it... Can anyone help me please? TANSTAAFL, I''ve red your book... I''ve understood the concept of height mapping but you didn''t explain how to manage the sprites that must be rendered on. (how to render a sprite partially obscured by a mountain?) Sorry for my bad english... Thanks VgP

Here''s a link. What it is is a height mapping demo i made a few months ago. I temporarily abandonded it. It has bad coding and stuff because i was just focusing on getting it done at the time. Sometime i might go back over it and make it better/faster. Hopefully you can understand it and use it.
