I have a 3D buildings model that I want to render efficiently by sampling it down and rendering it with a Normal oder Bump map for large viewing distances. Now the questions:

- Should I use Normal Mapping or Bump Mapping?

- I need a fast algorithm for the normal map generation that works well for embedded targets with OpenGL ES 3.0 and C++.

Can you name the the currently best method?

Thank you
