The reason I made the suggestions I made was so you would better understand the mechanisms of how the markets work and their constituent components enabling you to make a better simulation. This does not translate to a more complex or difficult to engineer simulation, but one that is simply based on the real mechanisms of markets.

Also, seriously consider futures and options contracts. They do not just exist for speculators, but also to create liquidity and hedging alternatives.
