"Texturing and Modeling" - David S. Ebert (Editor) - (Academic Press) - ISBN:0122287304

is one of "the" books recommended for people into procedural texturing.

Also "The good-looking textured light-sourced bouncy fun smart and stretchy page" might contain some stuff to interest you.
