A) I dunno, what you are really asking is more about the build engine, and as for doom and doom 2, im pretty sure those were the same engine, and there are lots of conversion files for doom 2 maps and doom maps.

B) I doubt these exist, but someone may have made one, look around

Yes, google''s the best, isnt'' it...

Load google, type "doom map convert" or something,
and let me know, when you''ve finished counting.
Seems people like(d) doom... ;-)
Well, you can specify with more expressions, but,
there are so many different texts, there occure all
your expressions but it has nothing to do with what
you''re looking for, or does not go enough into detail... :-(

So I just hoped that somone here knows about that stuff,
rather than searching several hours with no satisfying
results... (hey, internet is damn expensive over here!)

Try Ken Silverman''s site: http://www.advsys.net/ken/

He created the Build engine (used in Duke3D), and there''s plenty of information on it at his site.

It would probably also be a good idea to get in touch with the guys behind GLDuke. They should know all about this stuff

As for Doom stuff, I don''t know... but the source code to Doom is available from id''s site.
