line smoothing

How would i turn on the pretty line antialising? glEnable(GL_LINE_SMOOTH); the above line gives my lines rounded ends but doesn''t do the nice blending effect of "plate3" in the OGL refrence manual duckbob (all i ask for is pretty lines)

yes src_alpha + one_minus_src_alpha also theres a hint u can specify for line smoothing nicest or fastest choose nicest
