can i use big textures with ID3DXSprite ?

hi is it possible to use ( for example) 3000 * 3000 pixels texture?? does all cards support that ? is it necessary to use textures with tthe power of 2 ( 64*64 , 128*128) ??? again . does all cards support that ? if not , then what is the solution ? do i have to split the texture into smaller pieces ? be patient with me plzz

Depends on your product...Voodoo cards are restricted to only supporting texture sizes of 256x256, so just for simplicities sake (and for the ability to test on more than just one card), you might want to split up your textures...

keep them to a power of 2.
