Hi!
I've been working on a tileset editor for 2D tilesets for a few months now. It's not 100% finished, but it should be usable enough to create and edit tilesets. I decided to make it open source:
You can download the first release for Windows here:
My motivation for starting work on this project was because I'd been evaluating Pickle, and while it was a nice tool, I thought there were some things that could be done better. My main focus was to make it easy to create tiles that look great when "repeated" next to each other.
The editor has two panes (which can be made into one), with the intention that one of them gives you an actual-size preview of how your tiles look, and the other is where you do all the actual editing.
It would be great to get feedback on this, if anyone is interested. :) Is this something that you could use to edit tilesets? If not, what would have to be improved first?
