DX12 PIX for Windows released yesterday

And i already are sending a capture that fail the analysis :)

 

AFAIK the current build isn't robust against invalid usage of the D3D12 API, so make sure you're not getting any debug layer issues.

 

Also congrats to the PIX team for getting this thing shipped!

My sandbox is debug layer bug free.

And until prove wrong, d3d bug free, i used it to report bugs to nvidia, amd and microsoft for more than a year now, while they were ramping up their early driver :)

Pix for xbox one handle it well already, nsight too :)

Perhaps a stupid question, perhaps it will only support dx12 and not dx11?

That's right yes, but you should still be able to make use of CPU captures. I'm unsure what happens if you try a timing capture on DX11?

How PIX fits with VS Graphics Debugger? Will VS Graphics Debugger continue to exist?

 

VSGD is still part of VS2017, but i doubt it will get traction anymore, it was a total failure from start to end.
