Hi everybody,

we’re three friends from Berlin in the last year of our IT studies. We became close due to our mutual love for video games. We also discovered in several university projects that we are able to work together well when it comes to software development.

We always wanted to develop games together and in 2016, we finally started our first big project called “Shrink”. We did everything ourselves and with the help of our friends Marian and Josefin (the engine, music, sprites, design). We just finished it this weekend and made it available on Google Play.

Shrink is a fast-paced game that challenges your dexterity as well as your multitasking skills. You are controlling two blocks with either one or two fingers and you have to maneuver them through a series of obstacles.

There are two game modes. The first one is the campaign where you can play predefined levels. Currently there are 50 different levels. The other one is the arcade mode. It is basically an endless mode where the obstacles you face are random, starting with easier ones and harder ones as you go on. Here you can set high scores and compare them to your friend’s.

By completing campaign levels or playing the arcade mode, you earn “pixel” which you can use to buy skins that personalize your experience and change the look of the game. Some of the skins even add an extra challenge to the game.

We’ve integrated Google Play Games into this app for access to leaderboards, achievements and cloud storage.

Here are some screenshots of Shrink:

It would be awesome if you checked out the game. We’re looking forward for any kind of feedback or ratings in the app store.

Thanks a lot,

Dominik, Tobi and Paul from HGS Studios.
