Hey all! :) Wanted to introduce you to our WIP game: Rise of the King.

Rise of the King is a third-person action-adventure game with survival elements, set within a medieval fantasy world. You will have to survive as you travel across the dangerous lands on your journey to find answers as you investigate the disappearance of a missing child.

Our gameplay is a (hopefully  ) unique combination of survival, action and investigation mechanics to flesh out the experience.

We've had our heads down trying to finish up everything for our kickstarter coming up in March, but I wanted to give a brief overview of the investigation/quest gameplay we're in the process of implementing!

Here's a look at the player's journal, which will hold all the clues you discover as you travel.

There is no fast travel in Rise of the King, which means you're going to have to hoof it yourself. Make sure you're adequately prepared and that the weather is conducive to venturing out!

Once you arrive at the manor, your investigation begins in earnest. Look for clues, talk to the residents...

...And deal with the invading wolves!

We've been working on updating the forest with some new assets and effects! Still have to fix up something to tie in the base of the trees though, they look kind of funny just sticking out. :P
