Blockade - An Action-Arcade Platformer

Blockade is a retro-styled action-arcade platformer, it contains simple but appealing vector graphics, and those vectors being simple means faster game play, a story mode and much more. This project has been coded by me from the ground up in SDL 2 and C++, and the artwork/designs were also handled by me. Development started a few months ago and i've gotten off to a good start with this clip of version 0.1.

I've started making the boss and his arena after i got done making the 4th level about 1 week ago and i have to say I'm making great progress on the Boss level. I'm trying to make the Boss challenging but not too hard, but at the same time i can't let him be too easy/predictable. Here's just a screen shot of the Boss-Battle:


I've added another cut scene to the story mode:




I've made editions to the main character's appearance (change from a square to a unique design):





I also finished a turret device that i was working to implement:

I forgot a small component for one of the levels.
I have added it in the new and updated Demo V.1
I will also be editing some of the art and making more levels for the future demos.
