I downloaded my game and I'm getting a corrupted .zip @slicer4ever I have a backup on http://gamejolt.com/games/Aliensfromthesky/276519 can you change the current .zip to that one please?

hmm, you are one of two people that this has happened with.  i've manually added your entry, but just to check what browser/os are you running?

Well day7 is finally over and I need sleep, it's almost 5AM where I am!

I spent the whole day making level maps and fixing bugs.  There are still subtle bugs in the game that annoy me but I don't think anybody will mind them. And even with an interactive level editor it is always far more difficult than I anticipate to create engaging levels.

This makes me think that next year maybe I should go for either procedural level creation (ala Flappy Bird) or for open-ended gameplay on a fixed map (... like Tetris, I guess).

I still want to make a couple of tweaks to the game but there's no time really plus I'd rather go to bed.

I just hope it runs on other people's PCs! It works on a couple of mine anyway.

There are some awesome looking screenshots of games on the submissions page. The quality of the games this year is staggering.

Well done people! :D

I usually write a post-mortem a day or two after the competition, so I will do that again this year!

Your Raspberry Pi stood up to the challenge! Didn't even catch fire or anything.

Also, you didn't fancy making an entry yourself this year? Probably a wise decision

Here's a link to my submission.

Lots of very very last minute level editing and little bug catches. Gonna have to write the blog update tomorrow.

Congratulations to all the teams.

There we go, the competition is over and we have a game xD

Indeed, although a few bugs cropped up.  not sure why some contestants were having their zip files corrupted on upload.  which is weird as i'd think the image would have been corrupted as well.  something i'll have to investigate later.

As for making my entry for this year, I didn't have as much free time for this year as last year.

Thanks! Yeah, I figured that might be the cause: I didn't have time to get it to a more reasonable size. I hope it didn't cause too much trouble.

if you login you should be able to edit the description of your game here https://neonlightgames.com/woa/Submissions

And that's a wrap for this thread, please direct yourself's here:
