Can we get a section on the front page for Challenges? If possible, above everything else?

How about site-wide as an Announcement?

Also, need more challenge submissions.

Oh. That's how that works. But what happens when there's a Challenge and something else Announcement worthy going on at the same time? Do they fight for that spot or does Announcements work as a list?

It works as a list. The announcement is a temporary solution until more can be done for the Challenges.
