1. Lumberyard (Game engine) open-source and free tool

Lumberyard is known as the most difficult engine. Unreal 4 has the same power and is easier to use although it isn't aimed at beginners.

Unity is the easiest to use of the powerful engines. The trait off is that it's the weakest and needs either a experienced programmer or a lot of assets from it's store to make a AAA quality game.

Considering that a single person would take forever to make a AAA quality game Unity is the recommended starting engine for new developers.

Blender already has better Motion tracking build inside. Blender is used by many commercial companies for motion capture.

Ipi soft is just a bit easier for beginners and not that much better.

Good software but optional. I still recommend it, it's good for beginners, but as you learn more you will use it less and less.

There are plugins for gimp that does the same and you already have Blender that can also do the same.

8. Faceware (facial animation) not free tool

This is the company most AAA developer hire there motion capture gear from. They also sell the software but it comes in pieces. They do have a indie software option for $2475/ $3070.

At this price it's cheaper to hire a artist for face animations. There also is other Face animation software.

Blender has motion capture and it can be used for face animation, it's what I recommend you use while learning.

Blender and Sculptris has better tools for this and works better with games.

You can just use any typing software that your PC has. Readme documents are best as .txt files so that your user can always open them. For the same reason any in game dialog is best saved to a .txt so that fans who want to translate it can do so without breaking into the game.

Any text software can save as .txt

Your engine will have one it works best with. Unreal works best with Visual studio and it's Blueprints; Unity works best with MonoDeveloper(Unity already has MonoDeveloper inside).

All you really need to start making 3D games is: Blender, Gimp and Unity. I recommend you start with these.

ScoutingNinja has a point.  The reality is that you don't need much to get started, and then as you get better(and more experienced) you start to see what is more useful, and how it can fit in.  Your first games may not even use normal maps for materials, meaning that those tools that involve normal maps are likely to not be useful for those first games.  There are lots of nice tools out there, but to get started, just work with the basics.  Blender can actually handle pretty much all the graphic needs in some form, both 2d and 3d, and if you wanted pixel art, there are a couple easy tools for that, although GIMP can do it too.
