DX11 Understanding the profiler

Hi Guys,

Just having a play with the Profiler for VS 2015.

Makes sense so far but there is a bit I am not quite sure about.

What is the purple par of the image? I't just shows up as 'GPU Work'. It only shows up periodically.


Is this GPU work something that is happening in another program perhaps? As it doesn't fit with my render cycle at all.
