Maybe I'm doing this wrong...

When somebody quotes me in a thread I get an email notification.  I tried disabling this in notifications -> notification settings -> do not send me notifications but this didn't work.  Is there a way to disable these emails?

edit - I just noticed it also happens when someone mentions me or sends me a PM... is there a way to disable these notifications as well?

These two settings under your Profile menu -> Account Settings -> Notification Settings should do the trick. Scroll down to see individual controls for notifications and emails.
