I listen to pretty much anything. I've not had much time to code lately due to being a moderator for a friend whom is trying to get her YouTube channel, Twitch streaming, and Discord server off the ground. I listen to all kinds of music, but just recently got into listening to Sabaton and Alestorm when I code things.

I just don't like to code with something with lyrics, it disturbs me, like, a lot.

When I was working in a open-space it was a nightmare, always someone talking diturbing me. Usually I just had music in my ears but when I have to focus on a bug that resist me I need silence. But well, I had to learn how to work with some hubbub around me, still not liking it :p.

Demo scene musics.

I prefer those without lyrics.

However, depending on the moods, I might listen to oldies and other song.

Top charts for me. It helps me keep up to date and most of the songs are really good.

Also listen to a lot of Podcasts and Audio books.

For coding it's usually repetitive or calm music. Solar Fields -- who made the soundtrack for Mirror's Edge -- has been a looong favourite of mine, I find myself returning to their music over and over again over the past 8 years. Some of my favourites:

If you like progressive beats, Hybrid has a plethora of different styles. Their y2k album stands out the most to me, but they also make orchestral music combined with electronic.

I also really like progressive trance:

Deep house:

When I get sick of all of the electronic music I'll switch it up for something like this:

I don't listen to music while playing games, though I'm not sure if you were asking that in the context of game dev, as in testing a game or something. If you meant the latter, well, I can't say I've done much testing of my own game stuff, since I haven't developed a proper game in some time, but back in the day, it'd be fairly similar to the below.

In terms of game making related stuff (typically that's art related for me), anything goes really. Depends on my mood. Sometimes it'll be more of the usual music that I listen to (a mixture of Hindi, Punjabi, German, and Spanish tracks) or sometimes I'll listen to instrumental music from games/movies (Dark Souls 3 has amazing soundtrack!). I should vary up my CG mix a bit more though.

Sometimes I code with music on, sometimes not. It depends a lot on how I'm feeling at that moment. These days, my job doesn't involve a ton of coding surprisingly enough.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Some of the music I have played while programming:

Trance, Synthwave, Sax Jazz
