I'm looking for a couple of books to help me get started on game development. I need a book on the general maths required and a book on knowledge needed for physics engines.

If anyone could suggest some good books on these subjects, I would appreciate it.

Choose your graphics API first and get a book that uses the same axis orientation as the API or else you are just making it hard on yourself.

I was planning on using DirectX 10.1.
