I am curious on why you chose Unreal Engine for a 2D Pong game? Pong could be done as a browser game by anyone who can do basic HTML and javascript. That in turn could run on desktop with Cromium or Webkit for Android..

Are you planning of releasing more advanced 3D games later with Unreal Engine?

Then it would make sense to use it for practice..

Best of Luck!

Some people will do more simple games using an engine like UE4 just to get some more experience using the engine. If you were hired to create a 2D pong game you're obviously going to use the fastest and simplest approach assuming you're not forced to use a certain engine and that approach still meets your client's target platform and requirements. Pong in itself is pretty much an introductory game for new developers or people just learning a new engine to get a handle on things.

well, i decided with my co, that we are doing mainly singleplayer rpgs and story games. the next project will be a story game. so a good story writer would come in handy. it will be a modern story story game

well, we havn't decided yet, if we want to stay in one specific era or just go from game to game through different eras, from past to present to future, so, we could be interested
