Lightwave

Recommended Posts

Hi, Does PR support LIghtwave w/ bones and animation and all that good stuff? has anyone here used lightwave to get animated characters into PR? There''s a pretty great deal going on right now for Lightwave 7($995), so I thought it might be worth picking up if it could be used with PR. thanks Jason

I also was curious about this and read tha FAQ.

So does this mean that to use bones in power render, your meshes must be made in 3d max and boned in CStudio? or can you use regular 3d max bones?

Finally will there be Lightwave bone support in the near future(1-3 months time)?

Thanks for any replies.

There is support for .lwo files in proEdit, so IM assuming you can create unanimated objects.

Hey Chris, in lightwave I believe there is a function called savemorph that will save out a .lwo file for each frame of an animation. How feasible would it be for you to implement a feature in chrEdit that would look in the directory holding all the .lwo files and compile them into a single .chr file?
Does that make sense?

thanks

Jason
