I have a Righteous 3D card (voodoo 1 chip), and the capsviewer tells me that the only devicetype available is REF. Of course, I''d like to use hardware acceleration... Some earlier postings said something about dx8 requiring drivers for the graphics card that support at least dx6. Did I get that right? I''ve looked all over the net and did not find any driver that would support dx6, does this mean I can''t use dx8, except REF? And why can I use HAL in dx7 (according to dxdiag) when my drivers doesn''t support dx6? Hope this wasn''t too off-topic... thanks, ----------------- // Tobbe A

Voodoo Graphics and Voodoo 2 are not supported by DirectX8 because 3dfx have went out of business a long time ago and the drivers have not been updated for even longer. The only choice is to get a newer video card.
