Using teams' names and shirt's colors in your games

I was wondering how is it possible that New Star Soccer uses in the game all the names of all the most famous teams and their shirts from all around the world (not their logos or players' names). I can't believe the creator did an agreement with all the leagues' legal staff and their teams.

Is it possible to use *just* the name of the teams (no shields, logos, etc...) in your game? Can you use the colours of the teams also? (for example, a team with white shirt and trousers named "Real Madrid")

If that is available, then the "Real Madrid" will not named "MD White" in PES, I think.

Of course it's possible. But it's very likely that you'll receive a Cease & Desist letter from those teams. Get a license, or make up stuff.
