Works in Ref but not in Hal.

So i''ve got a demo that works perfectly fine in Hal mode on my Voodoo3, but does not work in Hal mode on my GeForce3 (or on a test bed GeForceGo). It does however, work fine (albeit slowly) in Ref mode. Any advice? Not working is defined as 1) Rendering fairly random looking triangles (Ge Force Go) 2) Rendering nothing (nothing 3d, the text is displaying fine.) Thanks in advance. DmGoober

are you sure you are checking caps? some video cards (liek the nvidia cards) dont like using certain depth buffer types with certain color depths. you shoudl post a demo exe and see how others fair running it on their pcs.

Uh, I actually am using the d3d sample code to check my caps (specially the bit depths) . . . but maybe i've changed something or i'm using some capability that i'm not checking properly for. . . how sad that my Voodoo has the cap, but not my Geforce!

As mentioned before, the text is showing up, so I'm guessing that the surfaces are all ok. . .
I'll look into it.

Thanks.

Alexander
