Nah, you''ll probably want to start out with the objective (basic concept, brief summary of gameplay), and work from there into seperate sections that go into more detail in their respective areas.

Though, I''m just a coder. There''s probably a more formal structure.

Give us liberty, or give us death!

usually the introduction

there´s a lot of design doc templates flying around the net, just have a look at a few of them and pick what seems most appropriate.
