How do all you guys do your debugging? If my program doesn''t have any fatal errors, it seems like my debugger is useless (the default vc++ 6.0 debugger). I want to be able to find if my program has any memory leaks and that sort of the thing, and the default debugger tells me nothing about that sort of thing. Are there any other proggies I should look into, or just something that I missed in vc++?

Memory leaks are the most annoying ones to find. But as far as the debugger (VC++ 6), it is the most usefull tool I have. Especially for semantics errors. When the program doesn''t crash, but it doesn''t do what I intended it to do. You can check the value of every variable step by step, the content of you register and memory.

MSVC6 will detect many memory leaks as well (but not all).
